Sexhibition Weekend!

Aloha my cherry pies, so last weekend I attended Sexhibition which was held at Manchester's event city, and what an event it was! I had the most amazing experience so I thought it was about time to share with all you lovely people what I got up to along with some pictures from the event.

So me and my beautiful friend Blaire over at Old is Now arrived at the event on the Saturday afternoon and decided firstly to check out the stalls because who doesn't love shopping right? The stalls had an amazing range of products from all things latex to pin up portraits. I particularly loved a stall called Kiku that sold beautiful lingerie from What Katie Did and Playful Promises, and in true Coco fashion I ended up spending a pretty penny. I was also happy to learn that she owns a shop in Manchester's Northern Quarter so I know where I shall be taking a trip to on my next day off!

After shopping we also check out the main stage which had some fantastic fashion shows being held. The latex show by Lady Alluras Latex was amazing. I especially loved all her designs because she made the latex look like clothing you could wear out and about and when I chatted to her later on she explained she designs the clothes especially like that as she is from a fashion background which is loved. One of my favourite dresses she made incorporated lace into which was genius. The fashion show was particularly amazing to me as I got to see up close the beautiful Masuimi Max who has been an idol of mine for quite some time, and boy did she live up to her pictures.

While wandering round we also happened to see the wonderfully talented Sukki Singapora, I love this lady so much as not only is she a super talented a burlesque dancer she also made Burlesque legal in Singapore which I think is an amazing feat and I definitely look up to her as a role model. She was such a lovely person and we couldn't leave without asking for a fan girl picture haha. I also got to meet some of the gorgeous girls from the Pinup academy such as Lola Diamond and Frenchie Lamour, it was an absolute pleasure to meet them and not only were the super gorgeous they were also really lovely ladies.

After shopping and socialising we headed back to the hotel to change so that we could attend the after dark night party. This was an amazing show which was full of burlesque, drag queens and much much more. The show ended with Sukki Singapora doing her Diamond Routine where she performed on a giant diamond ring, I loved the show and it was such a privileged to be able to see it. After that it was time for bed at the hotel after sipping one to many wines haha. All in all I had the best time and I for one can not wait till next year!

Review - Collectif Clothing Tropical Gal

Aloha my cherry pies, so like pretty much every other vintage gal I also went crazy when Collectif held their 50% sale and I just couldn't resist snagging a few pieces. I picked up this gorgeous Pineapple print dress which I have been lusting over since they showed us a sneak peak at their Spring/Summer look book a few months ago. So when it arrived I obviously couldn't resist posing for a few pictures.

I'm super in love with the print as everyone knows that I'm absolutely gaga for pineapples so this dress felt as if it was made for me. I sometimes have problems with Collectif clothing sizing but this fit like a glove! The bust area is super flattering and being a vintage gal I adore a good circle skirt. I love Collectif clothing as the material is really good quality and this dress was no exception. I decided to pair it with this super cute toucan cardigan I got from Collectif a while ago as you can't go wrong with a tropical theme in my opinion.

Most Marvellous Vintage Mass Meet Up

Aloha my cherry pies, so I've had a wonderful weekend as I went to an amazing vintage meet up. I've been to a few of these meet ups now which are organised on an amazing Facebook page (1940s/1950s Most Marvellous Meet Ups) and they never fail to disappoint. I love meeting like minded people and coming home knowing I've made some amazing new friends.

My weekend started by getting up pretty early Saturday morning to make the 3 hour train journey down to Peterborough, but it was super worth it as as soon as I got there everyone was so friendly and welcoming and we had a great afternoon eating picnic food from adorable wicker baskets and drinking one too many beverages. Thankfully the sun was shining so it was great to lounge about on picnic blankets soaking up the sun and to whittle away the day talking about everything vintage.

As it was gorgeous sunny day the night was warm too so we headed back to the camp site where a few people were staying and spent the night chatting and toasting marshmallows. It was the perfect night and really reminded me how much I love camping, so another camping trip is definitely in store.

To round the weekend off on the Sunday we made a trip down the road to a super cute railway station where you can take a trip on a steam engine. It was the perfect way to round off a vintage weekend and I loved every minute of it.

Sadly it was then time for me to head home back to Manchester, but I had a fantastic weekend and I cant wait to meet everyone again. If you can get yourself to one of the meet ups you should definitely go as you wont regret it.

Cocos Vintage days out - Lincoln

Aloha my cherry pies, so last week I had the pleasure of taking a trip to Lincoln with my good friend Katy. Lincoln is an absolutely beautiful city with an amazing cathedral and castle. The streets are full of little tea rooms and vintage shops so it was the perfect place for me. So I thought I'd share with you all a few photos from the day.

The first place we went was a little tea room where we were served tea and plumbread which was simply delicious. We then had a wander round the cathedral which is absolutely stunning and really does take your breathe away. We had a quick look at the historic castle which I loved as I'm a huge history buff but didn't go in as it was pretty pricey. After that it was on to my favourite part......shopping! There was so many lovely little shops around but my favourite place was a vintage charity shop where I picked up some really amazing items at super cheap prices!

I truly loved Lincoln as the city itself is so pretty and I love the vintage feel the whole place has with cute bunting running from one shop to the other. If you ever get the chance to visit this historic city I definitely recommend it travelling there.
